We were asked by a Major transport Company in Durban South Africa to assist them with supplying new compressed air equipment. We went down to sunny and humid Durban to inspect the site and to learn more about their setup and what the compressed air was being used for. Upon our arrival on site, we found extremely old equipment, with no air purification systems present. This was quite surprising as the current compressors were supplying a very busy and large wash bay that needed clean instrument air.
We decided to supply the Customer with one of our Energy efficient August Screw Compressors, this unit is fitted with a variable speed drive and permanent magnet motor and is highly efficient when it comes to energy saving and saving on maintenance cost.
We also supplied a new air receiver with the unit. Because the Compressor was a distance away from the wash bay, we decided to utilise the customers existing Air receiver and to fit a state of te art filtration system and energy saving refrigerant air drier, this will ensure clean and dry air to the instruments in the wash bay.
August Screw Compressors are built to run at 45 degrees Celsius with a humidity of 90%, this ensures that in even the harshest conditions, the units will run at normal operating temperatures ensuring uninterrupted compressed air to your plant.
